Manually create halftone for bitmap engraving

Logos by Nick just dropped a nice tutorial on creating halftone images. This would be similar to “covert to dots” engrave settings, but you have complete control over the size of the dots, shading, etc. I’m posting in a new thread because I really like his style, straight to the point, short, quick videos. - which works for my short attention span but I also believe works well for folks that aren’t necessarily design “experts”…

There are some Free software options in the CNC community, like Halftoner. But I have had success with this online generator. Free online Halftone Image Generator Great halftone maker that is customizable and very easy to use. You can change the settings to get tons of variations. It’s also possible to get nutty with it using clones in inkscape:

Short version: There’s a way to make halftone images in Inkscape.
