Has anyone had consistent success with the pass through feature of the pro? I’ve tried and tried and it’ll work for a couple of cuts but then inevitably and frustratingly fail. It seem that it was a selling gimmick but not a real, figured out feature.
I don’t have many occasions to use the passthrough, but I have had pretty good luck when I used it. It also comes in handy for cutting down materials.
I’m pretty consistent. The reason why I’m consistent is that I follow good practices which aren’t always obvious. If you haven’t seen this post, it’s worth a read.
it’s a great writeup of how to get the most out of the feature.
Also — if you haven’t seen it — the official help page has many of these tips and maybe a few others. Make sure you read the entire document, the pointers at the end are really useful.
I am very glad I went with it, I don’t use it all the time but it’s never failed me (except, obviously, in the very beginning when the alignment process was still being worked out, but that was before the feature was enabled for all pro owners..)
There was one minor bug I reported repeatedly and they refused to address it. I’m not in a position to validate it’s still there but when I get set up again, I’ll probably test for and document it again. It only affects engraves across steps.
Thank you for your reply. I haven’t so far but I’ll keep trying.
Thank you I have seen it and I tried to follow it but still no luck, or I should say, the process works for a few passes (shift material and resume cutting) but then it inevitably fails. I guess I’ll keep on trying…
Thank you, I tried to follow all their tips, no luck yet….
It may have something to do with your design. If you can post a picture of what you’re trying to make, we may have more suggestions.
