I agree with that - assuming you use Chrome, which is the recommended browser anyway.

Yep. I don’t understand people who are still railing against it & bemoaning the lack of a fast fix. Just implement the browser change and move on.

Another vote to provide a way to hide it. It’s so distracting and makes it hard to see the time remaining.

Have you used the info provided above to permanently hide it?

I like being able to see the counter when I’m working, and using the hide button gets rid of the that box and the counter. Why? I don’t want that. Just let us close the chat box, specifically. We’ve all spent way too much to not have such a basic feature available to us when using our machines.

I fully agree with you, but assuming that user desires continue to be ignored, if you apply the fix mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, the problem will go away. Not the optimum solution, but it does work (at least until GF changes their software).

Welcome to the forum. Lots of people seem to very much like the chat (as you can see by how busy it is), so it’s unlikely to be going anywhere. Instead of jumping in with a gripe, try being proactive!
