Resonance buzzing for short time during fan power up and down

Try applying pressure to the rear of the unit near the exhaust port. My first GF (I am on #4, long story) had a similar issue, and it eventually started doing it all the time. I think something back there is glued and the glue comes loose on some units.

Loud vibration / buzz when fan is running

My GF has started making a very loud sound, like two parts are vibrating against each other, when the ventilation fan is running. If I apply pressure to the rear left panel, in the area where the ventilation port is, it will stop. I can post a video if it I f necessary, but it will have to wait until I get home from work later this evening.

Re-opening the thread from here, because support closed it when I mentioned that the buzzing had (for the moment) stopped. Well, it’s back! And worse! In fact, it seems to come and go, so it’s clearly some loose piece of material in the GF case.

FWIW, GF ended up replacing the unit, i.e. there wasn’t some fix I could do myself. Hopefully it is a different issue for you, but I thought I would pass along the info.
