You need to save this as a Plain SVG and not as an Inkscape SVG.

While Inkscape uses SVG as its native file format, it uses an Inkscape-specific flavor as its default. I can see this in both the header and the file content.

Specifically (in the body of the document):
<path inkscape:connector-curvature=

I saw the above rounding problem again this past weekend. This time I was using a “Plain SVG”, not an Inkscape one. So it’s not just an Inkscape svg problem.

I joined the problem nodes and it rendered fine. So at least I had a workaround. But I again wasted a piece of material, and some time.

I hope the work-around of joining the paths still works for you.
