Settings for Silicone food mat engraving

Here are the settings I used for engraving the 1.18mm thick food mat that I used for the sugar lace in this post:

Speed 700
Power 90
270 LPI
2 passes

Note this was a vector, not raster, engrave.

Just curious if your silicon mat flamed a lot. I did some silicon a ways back and there was a lot of flame. Not sure if it was bad or good, but the client backed out and I never finished the testing.

I don’t remember there being a lot of flame. Plenty of ash that had to be scrubbed out under running water with a soapy toothbrush. This is very thin silicone, less than 1.2 mm.
