Snapmark is literally GONE

They restored my Snapmark yesterday or whatever day it was. Now it’s GONE. TOTALLY GONE.

Following this thread as the same appears to have happened to me. I have an original Glowforge Basic and used Snapmark in the beta from the start. I even upgraded to Premium last week since I use Snapmark quite a bit and now mine is gone as well.

Me too, Tom. Just went to use it, and Heart sunk ! Emailed support, and wait answer as I type this.

Good luck, by your liberal use of caps it seemed like it was an emergency, so I figured you must have called.

Okay. So not isolated to me. That’s something. But now here I am just got another order for something, finished designing it, went to go engrave it and…. here we are.

I’m experimenting with post-embossed paper that I need to engrave.

Made my embossing jig using design with snapmarks included in layout.

Made second jig to hold paper, with snapmarks engraved on surface.

Inserted paper in second, then sandwich into GF.

Back to screen to locate snapmarks……………………………….:worried:

Yeah. I just finished aligning a jig for this job myself. Am I as laser-perfect as Snapmark? NOPE! But I’m in a bind here as I’d like to get the job out the door today, if possible.

Yes to both Chad - one of the first - ah those were the days when you knew everyone !

Tom - not a successful attempt by me, but I have tried using a faint engraved line, along with the gui ruler positioning to try and align. Tricky, but might help ?

That’s exactly what I did, actually. Used a light Score on pieces of paper. Again, not perfect, but I think it will align well-enough for me in this case. (Just in this case though.)

SnapMarks was on our Public Library Premium account yesterday – but right now it’s gone. Incidentally, SnapMarks only showed up on our Pro’s GUI, not the Plus engravers…

Email from support suggesting that I might try another device, so fired up a laptop that I hadn’t used for months, and the problem is there also.

I don’t think it’s a cache problem either, as I assume such problems would not be on two different pcs, or am I mistaken ?

Their third suggestion was trying a different browser, but this is outside my comfort zone as I’m pretty set in my ways !

So it looks like I’ll have to wait until the holiday season is over ?

They were just following a script. This isn’t a browser issue. I’m sure it’ll get fixed with no (or very little) explanation. You just gotta be patient I’m afraid.

I have received two emails from them today regarding Snapmark. They requested a screenshot of my interface. I sent the screenshot and they replied that they would look into it further. I replied that others were reporting the same issue here in the forum.
