just an FYI: Two Alex drawer sets ($89 each) and a 39 " Linnmon top ($9) from Ikea make a nice table for the GF.

So i went to Ikea and i wanted a kitchen cart called Flytta. Went to look for it only to find out they didnt have it in stock. I had seen a small desk called Alex as my secondary option because it had storage built into it but the downer was it had a small top which i didnt think would fit my GF. So i got the Alex and as i was walking back down the isle i noticed they had desk tops of different sizes it was the “Linnmon” table top. I figured ill screw it onto the Alex from the bottom. Wh…
I don’t know anything about Ikea, never shopped there or looked at a catalog, but I could tell you that you made a great purchase. It seems the most recommended on the forum.

Nice setup. Previously in ikea Alex:
My favorite perk of the ALEXes is that they aren’t quite table height (My gf lives at counter height), so I use the top surface to store things that are too big.
Someone’s going to ask, so: It’s 26" tall according to their site, but 26.25 according to my tape measure.
