The Great Ornament Show-off Thread - 2017 Edition

Cute as a bug! :grinning:

I like it. :sunglasses:

I love the retro-feel of these!

I love it! :two_hearts:

I think this is the first thing I’ve posted here (out of the hundreds of things I’ve made on my GF), but here’s some ornaments I made a few of back in December.

This is absolutely, positively NOT a 3D representation of a famous cartoon mouse. Nope. Why, it’s silly to even suggest it.

(That should keep the lawyers away… )

How fun! I’m a swing dancer, too! Haven’t done any dance inspired design yet though-- but I could tell that these were swing dancers before even reading your caption…

Here’s mine from Alaska.

Nice job, are the stars cut all the way through?

Thanks. Yes I thought that would look cooler.

What kind ofmarkers do you use? These are beautiful.

Cool ornaments. I followed you Instagram, what kind of baked clay do you use that can be etched on the Glowforge?

I got the blank ornaments from Hobby Lobby.

In honor of my GF dying.

Would someone be able to assist me with figuring out how to cut negative space like this? I’m still new when it comes to advanced designs with cutting.

There’s actually a tutorial that shows how to use the technique for making a necklace…what software are you using?

Basically you overlap the shapes by a little bit and then join them together.
