Finally got around to engraving some stretched canvases I had laying around for ages. Not much to say, it’s a simple engrave, I think it turned out nicely.
Oh: vary power rules, dots drools. Look at that gradient, cmon. Buttery smooth.

Not creepy at all. Nope. Not even a little bit.
(Nice work.)
IKR? This was a test for a pyramid depth map (courtesy of @mpipes) and I was amazed at how the vary power ramped up and down as the head traveled at full speed across the design.
You might notice the end char on that 3/4 red oak, another test of the PRU to see how deep full power at lowest speed would cut. Turned out to be1/2".
Nice job on that canvas!
You really captured the greyscale nicely. I still have this and the tile thing to try, once I find an image I like.
Nice! What does the original art look like? Just curious to see the B+W.
That looks great! I love the gradient!
I’ll try to get a crop of it later.
In the meantime I engraved the same image on cardstock a while back:
I love how the texture of the canvas adds to the design.
Very nicely done but the queen needs some eye make up.
Does she though?
Lovely! Like how the canvas created a fabric pattern.
Nice. The texture of the canvas is such a nice bonus.
nice! what were your settings?
Lol no clue. It was a million years ago, sorry
