@dan, it means a lot that you listened and were able to address this issue quickly. I think a lot of faith in Glowforge has been restored.
It sounds like the replacement tube kit will include the tube and any other necessities for making the change, is that correct? Will Glowforge document the procedure for us, or does that cause some legal encumbrance for Glowforge?
Also, does having Glowforge replace the tube vs. DIY replacement have any warranty implications (meaning, if Glowforge replaces the tube, will the new tube come with some sort of warranty that a DIY replacement wouldn’t? I would think that would be reasonable.)

At a bare minimum, it will include any parts that can’t be sourced elsewhere (e.g. the tube). We may or may not include additional parts that are handy but available elsewhere (e.g. a hex wrench).

. So I’m gtg. I was pissed at this all day at work, and then told the wife when I got home. She just about told me to start looking for another machine. This update and the two options both really smoothed some feathers and made us happy again. Thank you for listening to the forums @dan.
