I’m hoping that a Corel Draw expert will step in here to help, but in the interim…
If the file is loading into the Glowforge interface as an engrave, that means that it is a raster (bitmap) image, and not vector paths. If you want to cut it, it has to be a vector path.
There is a beginning tutorial that explains the differences in the types of input for the Glowforge interface that might help you to understand what is going on. (It might be a good idea to read it while you wait to hear from someone with specific Corel Draw experience.)
There are several other tutorials that can help with understanding too, but I don’t want to overwhelm you at first.
