Working with svg in Inkscape

Hello,

How to make an svg file in Inkscape I could choose on it different options in GF interface, engrave, cut and score?

A vector with a stroke will be identified as a cut.

A vector with a fill will be identified as an engrave.

An embedded raster image will be identified as an engrave.

A score can’t be set up automatically, but you can change a cut to a score in the User Interface on the Glowforge.

Thanks for quick reply.

But is there anywhere a good learning tutorial for that?

Sorry to bother, I am total newbe…

The starting point is here:

There is a link for 2D design software starting points which would be a good start.

Thanks for reaching out!

We have a series of tutorials that walk you through creating a few different designs so you can see how to create a file and include cuts, engraves, and scores. It includes step by step instructions and illustrations, including how to use Inkscape, a free design program, to create shapes.

Please try out the tutorial and let us know if it doesn’t work to get you designing!
