BG (Before Glowforge) I used a long gone digital picture frame keychain and made a cardboard TV for my daughters barbie dollhouse.
Nice use for a old phone!

Have you measured the data use of the 4K fire video? If you left it running for hours, I think the impact on data caps might surprise you.
Even at home some providers (Cox, Comcast) are surcharging customers after they break through a cap like 1TB a month. It seems like a lot but with all the devices using your WiFi at home it can be a surprise as to what the household use is.
A downloaded version of the video of course would not be an issue.
