Yes, I wanted to give a heads up about this because it will catch some people by surprise otherwise. Right now, units are allowed to operate when the coolant is beyond recommended limits and right up to the “do not exceed” temperature. They only react when the coolant is at critical levels, and then they kill the print. We’ll be adding safeguards so they pause when the coolant is out of the recommended range, then seamlessly restart. Basically, prints in hot air just take longer. We’ll also a…

I don’t know the limits are off hand, but 80 degrees will likely be too hot for a Basic I’m afraid.

How does the interface handle overlapping or nested shapes that are different colors?

Can we put project metadata in a file?

You could assign them different settings or ignore them separately - but they will drag together if you try to move them.

Son of a… Yes you can. Wow, that opens up another world, doesn’t it? Only thing I had available in PLA to test downstairs was a black base for a rotary unit that I use on spools of filament, but by gosh, the lower power settings engraved it just fine… Hope you can see it…I hit the dull side. Beta Project: My First Pendant Lamp

Hi everyone! Here’s some shots of my first laser cut pendant light. I created a new ‘circle design’ in vector, and adapted it to work in a ‘semi-circle’ panel insert for the lamp. I did go through a few trial and error tests to get the slot/insert tight and stable, but only really have these pics below of the final piece. Chip Clips (Yeah, try following the Pendant Lamp with Chip Clips…)

Picked up a bag of bamboo clothespins at the hobby store cause they looked like they would fit in the 'Forge, and spent a day putting together some designs for them yesterday… I think they’ll work for bag clips. (Chips, cookies, M&Ms…) [image] So for the designs…we’ve got Engineer clips (one of those triangular rulers…sorry - scale, chuckle!), one for Musicians, and one for the Drama/Cinema team.
