This is an Astrolabe in progress. I used a blow forming rig I made to form the dome after engraving on the GF in 
med clear acrylic. I was worried about how the engrave would effect the shape but it turned out perfect, very happy! The inlay is rub n buff antique gold.
That is beyond seriously impressive.
…and I think I’m slightly in love with your workshop!
Thanks, it used to be a much bigger shop, now its like a shop in a submarine cause I never got rid of anything. Its the surgery theater lights that really put it over the top though 
Dart board, MAPP gas, subterranean…I may need a moment!
Also saw your other post around the Astrolabe and thought it was just an amazing standalone item. Is there going to be more parts? If so can’t wait to see where it’s going…

Totally not obsessed with other people houses or spaces or anything.
It’s just too perfect, I suspect if they pan the camera around we’ll see a load of dead bodies stacked up or something?
I mean I didn’t want to really do any work today anyway, so thanks for that, looks like I’ve got about a years’ worth of other people’s places to analyse!

Well no dead bodies, directly behind me would be the metal welding table with the tig, mig, and plasma cutter underneath and the drill press.
This is where the car is supposed to go? ridiculous, this is where I keep my tenuous sanity.
Its in my office right now which “is” a mess, but we are remodeling the house so I have an excuse. I’ll pull some shots together and post to the workspace thread when I get it all done.
Entirely too true, but I know for a fact that one of the writers from the Simpsons has a completely necessary life size concrete statue of the Lawgiver from the original planet of the apes movies, he probably wrote that
