In this case the mechanism would be properly supporting both fill modes for SVG files. They manage to do that for PDF, so it’s weird that Glowforge still doesn’t for SVG.

So you use PDF to fix that problem, instead of wishing very hard and expecting it to read your mind. I have had that problem in some cases without getting near the GFUI.
