This is going to seem really stupid but how bad is plastic with chlorine to laser? I will never purposely use it obviously and I know it’s bad to breathe in (yay for nerve gas…) but how long will it take for it to ruin your machine? (eg. 20 second of use or like months of use)

I’m fairly new to this crazy laser-powered world, so forgive me if this is a silly question, but I was wondering if the Glowforge would be sensitive enough to be capable of cutting shapes in vinyl sticker paper (or, say, Avery Label sheets, for example) without going completely through the backing paper?
For simple shapes and designs, it would be fine to just burn straight through - backing and all … but for some more complex designs, I could see you wanting to cut only the sticker shape out, b…

I am getting the dreaded Yellow/Amber Light upon startup. From what I have seen here, in the forums, this is not a super common issue but I have seen some posts…usually they end in a replacement machine…
So, I wanted to post here to make sure there is nothing else that I can do, personally, to attempt to remedy…
Anyway, I was looking for a post that I remember where a user cut PVC on their very first job and destroyed the machine. Can’t seem to find it, anyone else remember it?
