Hello. Ive made a lot of successful projects with this printer. Now.im getting these vertical lines on my prints. I am setting to engraving 1300 speed 40 power and 2 passes. They just started showing up.

My first question would be material - do you get the same lines vertically if you rotate the material 45º or 90º? I can’t tell from the image what your material is!

i havent tried to reorient the materiel. im using different color metal blanks that ive painted black.

Gotcha, so it’s unlikely to be in the material itself. There’s been an ongoing issue with vectors getting lines, but these look like they’re rasters. If they’re vectors, the easiest way to fix/double check is to rasterize them.
If they’re already rasters, then try rotating and let us know

If you use the term “banding” when searching you will find some similar discussions in the past that might be educational. I’m not sure if any came to a useful conclusion.
