Hi! i was in the middle of cutting paper and the cut stop and have me the “open lid” error. I have tried pretty much every trouble shooting discussed in the forums but nothing worked.
Really hoping for help since I have to ship this project on Friday!

Here’s an example of what support will ask for with this issue, if you provide the info in advance it will accelerate their response.
I’m so sorry to hear you’re having problems. Could you do the following for me?
Power off your Glowforge
Open the lid and front door of your Glowforge
Remove your crumb tray
Check for and remove any debris that may prevent the front door from closing properly, particularly the area underneath the front door
Close the front door and lid
Power your Glowforge back on

It can also be caused by a problem with the connectors for the black cable on the lid, or the cable itself. Here’s a thread on what to look for there:
Although “Stuck in Centering/Focusing” looks the same to the customers, it can be caused by a bunch of different things, and it’s easier for Glowforge to analyze it individually by looking at the machine logs than it is for us to do it. That’s why they don’t post solutions here. It can make things worse if the customers get the wrong “cause” and start trying to fix it without knowing what’s causing it.
